If you like frozen yogurt, this is the place to come. It's a short ten minute drive from the airport area hotels, but Kocanut Joe's is also right next door to a seemingly popular neighborhood bar called Saddle Club. It's a good stop for a night to check out some local flair. I mainly came here because I'm watching my calories and another reviewer mentioned they posted nutritional facts above each yogurt tap. I took some pics to show you Yelpers what exactly that means. They provide not just calories (per ounce) but also some other key nutritional facts and ingredients. I felt the choices of favors was far superior to what I have in Atlanta. The Funky Monkey and Sea Salt Caramel flavors were most appealing to me. I wanted to taste test more flavors but they were closing up shop and these two were fantastic. I put as little as I could in the cups (while still feeling like I was getting something), and put no toppings, and I was at 7.3oz- just about 300 calories. So yeah- watch that yogurt coming out of the taps! The Sea Salt was the big winner here. Although I love all things ice cream + toffee (funky monkey) I felt the sea salt flavor really packed a lot of punch. It really didn't need any toppings to be delicious. Both yogurts were creamy, not watery/icy, like I've experienced at other froyo places. Their toppings looked fresh but it appears they have done away with the crank cases. Fine by me- but just so other know. Total cost was $3.50-ish. There was a Yelp check-in deal for 10% off but I felt silly using it on such a small purchase. If you're paying for a family, however, it's probably worth your while. Overall- this place is definitely worth checking out!! Great flavors.

Out of the many frozen yogurt joints that are multiplying like bunnies lately, Kocanut Joes is my absolute favorite. And I'm not just saying that because it's within walking distance from work either ;) The staff and owners are very welcoming and the surfer atmosphere makes it summer all year round. I love the feeling of helping out a local business, and I get a tasty treat while doing so. If you are in or near Fort Mitchell I would suggest stopping by for a healthier alternative to ice cream. Don't worry, they have lots if add-ons to make it less healthy if you like.

As with all my yogurt reviews, I'm pretty picky. If the yogurt ain't real, no 5-stars. We found Kocanut Joe's on my favorite review site, Yelp! You heard of it? It was pretty highly rated and on our way home, we had not visited before - so we decided to give it a try. You'll see the dispensers and cups right away when you walk in. There's about 8 flavors that you can combine to make specially-designated combos (as with 95% of yogurt shops hitting the midwest right now). Yogurt is sold by weight, .45c/oz. Check-in for 10% off coupon with Yelp! I had a cherry amaretto and some fruit on top. The flavors were not super exotic, but were paired well. The most interesting: rice krispie treat. Somehow that combined with another to make birthday cake. Somehow. Outdoor seating is limited, but available. The decor of this place matches the name...bring a sharpie to mark your name on the wall. Or draw a picture. As I said in the intro: not real yogurt? No 5-stars. Joe's tastes good, but it's not tangy and doesn't have the real-yogurt tartness to it. It's not *alive,* if you catch what I'm saying. It's glorified soft serve, y'all.

As a parent of a child with a tree nut allergy, I really appreciate that they have dispensers for some of the toppings, which prevents cross-contamination. They also have allergen information listed above each flavor of yogurt. This is a great, fun, family friendly place!

It's very tasty frozen yogurt and it's one of the most affordable places to go for a desert. They have a punch card that fills up rapidly, offer check-in deals and often offer discounts on bad weather days. Sometimes they offer discounts for wearing certain team shirts, etc. Even without any discount it's a good deal. I noticed that they have bike racks in the back and place on the side of the building for dogs to get water. It's a good thing I don't live in the neighborhood or I'd probably be there every other day.

My wife and son enjoy walking up to kocanut Joes a few times a month. The prices are a little high and the staff is not very friendly but it's still a fun thing to do. We made the 10 minute walk Friday (10-17) evening and arrived at 9:05 to find the door locked and the employee inside saying they were closed. The website, Google and the sign on the door all said open till 10pm. WTF. What a waste of time and hard to explain to a child.

Fab little froyo place, friendly staff and nice yogurt (and toppings). Limited seating. Definitely a favorite of ours this summer.

My family and I live in Louisville, but visit Northern KY often. We can't go home without a stop at Kocanut Joe's. This place has the BEST yogurt selection, and fresh toppings. The ambience is very "beachy", and extremely fun. What a great locally owned business! We would recommend to anyone in the area.

Well believe it or not, my girlfriend and I were heading into the saddle club to have a couple drinks and saw that this place had just opened. Deciding the better road, we choose to go here and I'm glad we did. First off, the atmosphere makes you feel like you just walked into key west with the really cool decor along with really well chosen art work and surf board style tabletops. The pricing was appropriate and is far better value than orange leaf. I highly encourage to swing by and check this place out!

This is my favorite frozen yogurt place. They always have a great selection for various tastes, but I went very ordinary tonight with a chocolate strawberry and vanilla combination. However, my wife went for the more exotic Italian pistachio. As always yogurt was delicious and the staff was very friendly.

OK, but not as good as Yogoot. A bit expensive for what you get.
